Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shelvio app ("Service"), operated by Enrique (individual operator), based in Madrid, Spain.

By installing or using Shelvio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

1. Description of the service

Shelvio is a Shopify app that allows merchants to import product data from CSV and Excel files into their Shopify stores. The Service includes:

  • CSV and Excel file parsing
  • AI-powered automatic column detection and mapping
  • Product preview before publishing
  • Direct product publishing to Shopify via the Shopify Admin API
  • Saved column mapping configurations

2. Eligibility

To use Shelvio, you must:

  • Have an active Shopify store
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • Have the legal authority to accept these Terms on behalf of your business

3. Account and access

Shelvio is accessed through your Shopify account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your Shopify account
  • All activity that occurs through your Shelvio installation
  • Ensuring that your use of Shelvio complies with Shopify's terms of service

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Shelvio only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to import counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited products
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Shelvio
  • Use automated scripts to abuse or overload the Service
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

5. Pricing and billing

5.1 Subscription

Shelvio is offered as a paid subscription at $9.99 per month, billed through Shopify's Billing API. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice.

5.2 Free trial

A free trial period may be offered at our discretion. After the trial ends, you will be charged the applicable subscription fee unless you cancel.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by uninstalling Shelvio from your Shopify store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5.4 Billing disputes

All billing is handled by Shopify. For billing disputes, contact Shopify Support directly.

6. Data and file uploads

When you upload a CSV or Excel file to Shelvio:

  • You represent that you have the right to use and import that data
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the product data you publish
  • File contents are processed in memory and are not stored by Shelvio after the import is complete

You retain full ownership of your data. We do not claim any rights over the files you upload or the product data you import.

7. Shopify integration

Shelvio uses the Shopify Admin API to publish products on your behalf. You authorize Shelvio to:

  • Read your store information
  • Create and update products in your Shopify store
  • Access your store's inventory and locations as needed for import

You can revoke this authorization at any time by uninstalling Shelvio from your Shopify admin.

8. AI-powered features

Shelvio uses the Anthropic API (Claude) to suggest column mappings from your uploaded files. These suggestions are automated and may not always be accurate.

You are responsible for reviewing all column mappings before publishing products to your store. Shelvio is not liable for errors caused by incorrect AI-generated mappings that you approved.

9. Limitations of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Shelvio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, data loss, or damage to your Shopify store.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shelvio and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Product data you import using Shelvio
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Service availability and modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice
  • Update these Terms at any time — we will notify you via email or in-app notice
  • Introduce new features, limits, or pricing with 30 days' notice

Continued use of the Service after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Shelvio if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may terminate your subscription at any time by uninstalling the app.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.

If you are located outside Spain, local consumer protection laws may also apply.
